CD Drive

Windows

  1. From your computer's desktop, double-click on the My Computer icon.
  2. If you have a CD-ROM Drive, this screen will display an icon depicting a drive and CD disk. Typically, this icon is labeled D:.
Mac OS X
  1. Double-click the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon (usually located in the upper right-hand corner of the computer's desktop).
  2. Click on the Applications icon (usually located at the top of the window) to open.
  3. Find and double-click on the Utilities folder.
  4. Find and double-click Apple System Profiler.
  5. Select the Devices and Volumes tab.
  6. If a CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, or DVD-RAM drive is present, it will appear in the list of devices displayed.
